Markham, Ontario (August 17, 2004) – Identicam has supplied the Canadian KidsGames with Photo Identification equipment to badge about 3,500 volunteers and coloured wrist bands for over 20,000 participants.
As part of the opening ceremonies on August 6 at the TD Centre concourse in Toronto, a team of 10 employees from Identicam won the Water Bucket Championships against seven other corporate teams. Participants start with a full bucket of water and must pass water with cupped hands to the next team member. The last member of the team places the remaining water in an empty bucket. The water at the end of the line is measured and the team who has the most water in the bucket wins.
This year over 130 countries and more than 600,000 kids, aged six-14 are expected to participate worldwide in sports, games, music, parades, dance, drama and ceremonies. The games were held throughout Ontario in cooperation with about 400 churches and ran from August 7-14, 2004.
