| New FARGO HDP600 Prints on Cards with Embedded Electronics |

Markham, Ontario (July 22, 2004) – Identicam introduces the new FARGO HDP600 Photo ID printer that prints on cards with embedded electronics such as Weigand, RFID, Proximity, optical memory and Smart cards.
Unlike most printers that print directly onto the card and require a smooth surface for ideal reproduction, the HDP600 prints images onto the underside of a High Definition Printer (HDP) film. The film is then fused to the card through heat and pressure, allowing an image to be reproduced clearly on uneven surfaces.
A magnetic stripe encoder and E-Card docking station are also available as factory-installed options. An optional field-installable lamination module is also available. Dual card hoppers allow you to print and encode two different types of cards. An LCD display guides you through operation and tells you when to load supplies. An internal card cleaning system removes dust and debris from cards, improving print quality and reducing card waste. |
